A very special event took place at Cockburn Lodge back in 2022, we were privileged to welcome Mark Smith he of the Antique Roadshow fame to entertain is with his encyclopaedic knowledge of the History of the Victoria Cross from its inception up to the present day, Attendees came far and wide to listen with awe and reverence to tales of daring do, mixed in the the poignancy of what it means to receive this countries highest honour for valour. We were also privileged to be able to see and yes hold one of these incredible medals. It was a very very special night.
Melvyn celebrated his 50th Year in freemasonry back in 2020, this celebration was delayed due to the restrictions placed on us due to Covid~19. Once we were able, undertook a very special Ceromany where his family and personal friends were allowed to witness Melvyn being presented with his certificate in the Lodge Buildings Temple. an enjoyable evening was had by all.
